Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead accounting and financial operations for a growing engineering company near Manhattan Beach.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain strong internal controls
  • Manage job costing, WIP reporting, forecasting, and project profitability
  • Oversee AP, AR, payroll allocations, and general ledger activities
  • Partner with leadership on financial planning and business performance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 7+ years of accounting experience, including project-based accounting
  • Strong GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close experience (required)
  • Expertise in job costing and project-based accounting
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • CPA preferred
